Popular Kaixin001 Application: Repaste

Last month, I introduced Kaixin001’s House & Garden application. This month, Kaixin001 successfully launched a new app called “Repaste (转帖)“. The new app specifically enables users easily repaste and share any kind of content (post, picture, video) with their friends.

Now, most of my friends on Kaixin001 are repasting interesting thing everyday. Some awesome stuff have been repasted by almost everyone. Based on everybody’s networking, these content can be quickly spread out to a significant amount of audience.

IN2marcom thinks this is a highly potential app for brands/agencies/websites/individuals to do viral marketing. Here is an example:

This is a TVC for P&G Pantene, Thailand. Due to the great creativity and impressive production, it is shared by Chinese netizens recently. On April 26, 9:50 a.m., a netizen repasted it from Youku to Kaixin001 via the app. On 10:50 a.m., one of my friend repasted it and shared with me. At that time (within only 1 hour), it had been repasted 801 times and viewed 4,780 times.

For brands/agencies/websites/individuals, when you plan to do a viral marketing next time, don’t forget to consider utilizing this app, in addition to the traditional social media channels and platforms (BBS, blog, video sharing site).

Nevertheless, different from seeding, it is hard for you to manage, you need to make sure the content is interesting/valuable/meaningful enough to attract netizens to repaste it voluntarily.
