On June 24, the movie “Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen” will make it debut in China. It is one of the most expected summer movies. As the main sponsor, Chevrolet has launched a series of digital engagement programs recently by leveraging the strong popularity of the movie, especially the CAMARO Bumblebee……
MG Motor, the British sports car brand which bought by SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), made some viral videos for the MG 3SW SUV recently.
I saw the first one through the latest Youku Buzz Newsletter 10 days before. It is titled “An Exciting Scene in Front of an ATM (提款机前上演激情一幕)”. In the video, a girl drives her MG 3SW onto a sidewalk and draw cash from an ATM without getting out of the car. Today, I found the second one. It is titled “After-80s’ Outdoor Intercourse (80后野战)”……
The leading Chinese sportswear manufacturer Li-Ning recently produced a viral video for its badminton rackets, acted by Olympic gold medal winner Lin Dan. In the video, Lin Dan strikes shuttlecocks into a normal shuttlecock bucket by the Li-Ning racket. It looks pretty cool. However, just as Youku Buzz and Littleredbook said, the originality “extraordinarily accurate shooting skill” is not something new for viral video. Two years before, Nike made the first one by Ronaldinho. Early this year, Adidas made a similar one by Beckham & Garnett, and Nokia made a “Ping-pong Bruce Lee”…….
Few days ago, I wrote a post about Nokia’s latest viral videos by magician Liu Qian. Similar as Nokia, other IT/digital companies are never unfamiliar with Internet, gaming, and viral marketing. Last week, I watched Intel’s latest viral videos for its Core 2 Quad processor through Youku Buzz. This series of video, under the slogan “If You’re Going to Play, Play Big”, is pretty funny. The theme is about some classical video games, which is highly relevant to Intel’s current marketing efforts on the gaming……
Liu Qian (刘谦), the Taiwanese magician, has been super popular since his awesome and impressive tricks on 2009 CCTV Spring Festival Gala. Recently, Nokia picked up Liu Qian as the new spokesperson and released a series of video ads performed by Liu. In addition, Nokia also distributed some viral videos featuring Liu’s tricks with Nokia E71/N85 as the magic props. Very cool stuff! Nokia’s great efforts on making viral video (esp. by popular spokesperson) and holding the cutting-edge interactive online concert in China indicate that the global mobile phone giant will keep involving deeper in the China social media……
Due to the global financial crisis, this year is a tough time for the job seekers, especially those fresh graduates in China. An ordinary resume probably won’t work (in certain degree) to catch the HR’s eyes anymore. So Chinese young people need to be more creative and proactive to seek jobs. Early April, a college graduate major in Film & Video made a video resume for himself and uploaded it to Youku. Till now, it has been going viral to other mainstream video sharing sites including Tudou, Ku6, 56, Pomoho, and Sina Video. This is a pretty impressive video……
Shanghai Metro Deer Man firstly showed off himself in July 2008. Pictures and videos quickly spread out on Internet then. Soon later, deer man announced that his name is Dr. Kylin and he is running a studio called Kylin Lab to make newfangled video. On April Fool’s Day, deer man made a viral video for the new Nissan TEANA……
